Be Grateful

Be Grateful

REMEMBER

Romans 8:28 And we know that all thing work together for the good to them that love God, to them that are the called by according to his purpose

It has become a norm that at the beginning of every new year people make new resolutions. This are plans that all wish to fulfill at the end of each year. I personally made plans like taking care of my health better by joining a gym, furthering my studies and writing my fifth book. I planned to travel and visits other countries. How many of my wish list did I achieve is a good question. More often than not come mid-year not even half of the planned activities have been achieved due to many different reasons. Like everyone I had my plans for 2024 but an unplanned family situation arrived. I had to take a child care responsibilities for a minor who had relocated from one province to mine. This changed my priority list to now focus on helping her adapt to the new environment, new language, new school and help settle and make new friends. It was such a difficult task to adjust to all this new changes especially that I had to help with homework. Now I had to re-prioritize and cancel some of my plans.

REFLECT

2 Timothy 1:7 ( NKJV) For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of sound mind

As they say, "time doesn’t wait for anyone", I was like "where did the year 2024 went so quick?" I looked back to analyze if I achieved my goals. I released that despite being side tracked to attend to my grand daughter’s educational needs there are positive things that I achieved. I build new relationships with teachers, parents and some learners she made friends with. I grew in knowledge and lessons learned especially due to the research I did for her school work. I became technologically advanced and now know how to use different search engines. Fear and anxiety of learning new things nearly disturbed my focus in my main purpose but I decided to continue despite challenges. The challenges I experienced at the beginning taught me to be resilient, focused and take challenges as opportunities.

As a transformational coach, I always advice my clients to never loose focus of their identity and purpose, but adapt to their plans. My vision is to empower women globally to be the best version of themselves before the world told them who to be. I would have given up due to doubt and fear; I had to acknowledge the problem, reset my mind and see the bigger picture

PAUSE

Psalm 46:10 ( NIV) Be still and know that I am God

It is always important to pause and allow your mind to reset, see clearly and take informed decisions. I also took some time off to pause, I analyzed the demands of the task I’m about to take, I had to face the fear and anxiety of the unknown. At the same time I reaffirmed my purpose. I was happy I found my God given purpose and I am not letting it go because of a temporary situation. I now believe that nothing is impossible with God. Despite all this new responsibilities I continued hosting successful women's global events.

RECOVER

Philippians 4:4-8KJV Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

December is the time of giving and appreciating the goodness of the Lord. My family has established a tradition of gathering on Christmas day to give thanks, give presents and share a meal together in laughter. It is in the spirit of Love that we are lifting a toast wishing each other a blessed New Year, Mercy and Grace. This is my story of encouragement to help someone to reflect, Pause and reset. Look at disruption of your plans as an opportunity to learn and grow. I will always use every opportunities given to inspire, uplift and empower women across the globe through hosting summits and sharing knowledge though my books resource found on this
platform.
